Midnight tonight (0:00am Monday 18th July 2016) marks the beginning of the 2016 BookTubeAthon. The BookTubeAthon is a week long readathon in celebration of BookTube. This will be my first year taking part so I am excited to share my To Be Read pile with you.
The BookTubeAthon proposes a set of challenges (which you can find my checking out the YouTube channel). One of these challenges is the same every year and that is to read seven books. I don't believe I will read that many at all, but I'm keeping my hopes high by adding seven books to my TBR pile.
1. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
This book is kind of a cheat book for me as I am already half way through it. However, I think the Readathon will push me to finish it so I can start on the second one!
2. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
I love reading trilogies but unfortunately after I finish this one, I have to wait almost a whole year to read the third one.
3. London Belongs To Us by Sarra Manning
I heard about this book through BookTube, so reading this will complete one of the challenges! I am a big fan of London so I can't wait to read a book where I will recognise a lot of the locations as I have visited them before.
4. Wicked by Gregory Maguire
I have owned this book for a while because I love the musical. So, I am intrigued to see what the book is like. This book itself is not older than me but its first publication is the year before I was born. So, this also counts towards one of the challenges if I complete reading it.
5. The Courtesan by Alexandra Curry
This book was sent to me for reviewing purposes. I have read an extract from this already and can't wait to read it. Historical fiction isn't something I have read much of before.
6. Nothing Tastes As Good by Claire Hennessy
This is another book I found through BookTube, making it perfect to be read during the BookTubeAthon.
7. How To Build A Girl by Caitlin Moran
I have read the first chapter of this book already and really want to finish it. As the cover is yellow, it counts towards yet another of the BookTubeAthon challenges.
I'll follow up this post at the end of the week when I tell you how I did and maybe give you some reviews.
