With the heat of summer, I often experience my lips getting incredibly dry no matter how much spf I put on them. So, as summer appears to have already been and gone in the UK, it's time to prep our lips for the colder months!
All you need to do this is one lip scrub and one lip balm of your choice. It really is that simple.
Most people think they can just get away with using a lip balm. Which, over an extended period of time will eventually work. But, with the aid of a lip scrub, you can get the lips you want in seconds.
I am currently loving a lip scrub from Lush.
Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub - £5.50
It's such an easy to use product. Just apply to your lips and rub it in to remove all dead skin and add moisture.
Most people are happy to lick this off their lips (who can blame them? It tastes so yummy!) but this is just counter-productive and will just dry your lips out more so I recommend just wiping it away with a clean finger to get rid of any excess sugars.
The next step is to use your everyday lip balm.
Carmex Lip Pot Original - £2.69
I am presuming I don't have to instruct you on how to apply a lip balm but I would advise to apply more than you usually would and let it soak in for a while to get the best results.
I have been using Carmex for years as it was suggested to me by a doctor when my lips began peeling off (gross, I know) and I haven't really found a better one since!
But, again, any lip balm will do the job!
