Geeky Cool Jewellery

Upon attending The Great Yorkshire Show 2016 (see my blog post about that by clicking here), I was keeping an eye out for a stall that I'd seen there two years ago. Once I entered one of the tents of crafty stalls, I knew this was the stall it had been in two years before. And, after turning the corner, I saw it!

Rows and rows of beautiful geeky jewellery. I was in heaven. In 2014 it was a woman running the stall (the woman who makes the jewellery all hand made herself). But, this time it was her husband. I wonder if it had been the woman if she would have recognised me or not..

Anyway, because I am going to Disney World in Florida this summer (yes, be sure to check back if you want more on that) my eyes drew to the Disney themed jewellery. Two necklaces that I loved but didn't buy had a Lego Merida as a pendant and the other a Lego Rapunzel as a pendant. I wish I could have bought those also but money does not grow on trees.

My favourite two pieces of jewellery I could not decide between. So, I bought them both.

The first necklace I bought has a Lego Stitch from the Lego Disney mini figure series as a pendant.

Lilo and Stitch is my favourite Disney movie so he was worth choosing over a Disney Princess any day.

The second necklace I bought you will probably see and think 'omg alex thats so tacky'. and.. well.. yes, it is. But, if you know me, you'll know I'm quite a tacky person so in a way it fits me perfectly and I LOVE IT.
The pendant on this necklace was actually made by the lady herself.

I absolutely had to buy this necklace both because it is Disney themed and also because I am a princess and why shouldn't my jewellery be a reflection of that?
The stall also had this necklace in pink, which maybe would have been a good idea to buy as I already bought Stitch who is blue. But, I was too drawn to the blue one to leave it behind and it probably matches more of my clothes than a pink one would.

Both of the necklaces were £10 each. £2.50 more than last year, but I still think that is such a good price. Especially for pieces of jewellery that I will wear lots and love forever. And, I just know that I will get lots of comments on them.

If you would like to check out their website then visit www.geekycool.co.uk
However, if you would like the best necklace for the best price you are probably better off visiting their stall at craft events across England throughout the year.

This jewellery has inspired me to start making my own.. Look out for my release in October!
