Being the president of a society has its perks. One of those being I get to be involved in organising fun trips such as our trip to the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour in London. I've already been before (see the video here) so I knew the members of the University of Essex Harry Potter Society would love to visit it also.
We got up early(ish) on a Saturday morning, sat on a coach for two hours travelling there (which I can't quite remember as I had a nap for most of it.. Sorry Rebecca) and then waited in line to have one of the most magical experiences ever.
As a Slytherin, my favourite part of the tour was seeing the Malfoy Manor Fireplace. I don't recall seeing this on my previous 2013 visit so I'm assuming its one of the parts they added when they moved things around. For some strange unknown reason, I did not take a photo of it, but here is a photo of Rebecca and I standing next to it!
Another experience that was new to me on this trip was going on a broomstick on the green screens (if you are visiting the tour, this is a must)! And I must say, I looked pretty fly whilst doing it. Excuse the pun. In fact, don't excuse it; it was entirely intentional.
Other highlights for me included the bridge, the Hogwarts Express and the Gryffindor Common Room! And then, of course the gift shop! I did spend quite a bit of money in the gift shop but I had been saving up especially to do so! I bought: a Slytherin water bottle, a Slytherin head band, Slytherin shorts, a Slytherin lanyard and a Slytherin badge. And then of course there are the priceless gifts of the beautiful photo memories taken with my beautiful friends!
So gorgeous, i am so impressed with this whole project, Your work is amazing! thanks for sharing.
