When Tanya Burr's Lips and Nails was first launched, of course I wanted everything in the line! However, as I am saving to be an inevitably poor student, my purse couldn't stretch that far. So, I put off buying any of it until it was finally released into Superdrug stores across the UK and I made my friend go and buy me the Tanya Burr Lipgloss in the shade Vampire Kiss (and then I payed him back of course).
First of all, the squared packaging pleases me for reasons mentioned in a previous blog post. After the packaging, the first thing I noticed after untwisting the applicator was the smell. Oh my goodness, what more can you need in life other than a lipgloss that smells of nothing other than STRAWBERRY LACES! Literally, I can no longer go a day without smelling this.
The applicator for the lipgloss is a simple squared sponge applicator. I find this great for applying the majority of colour to the lips but the brush is kind of big to apply to hard to do areas such as your cupid's bow.
(apologies for the poor quality photo)
The colour of vampire kiss is a deep cherry red. It's sooo pigmented as you can see from the above picture so you don't need to apply a lipstick beforehand.
As for durability, I have worn this both for a meal out and to school. For the meal out, it lasted me until we ate (as to be expected from a lipgloss) and at school it lasted me for a good few hours.
Overall I would give this lipgloss 4.5 out of 5 stars. (only losing the 0.5 due to the applicator!)
Tanya Burr's lipgloss retail at £6.99 and you can buy them in-store at Superdrug or online at feelunique. I very highly recommend you go and invest in one!
