Miss Glossybox #1 initial thoughts

I'm not feeling well today guys so I'm sorry if this blog post isn't all that fantastic but here goes..
So, being a big fan of the YouTube vlogger SprinkleOfGlitter and after watching nearly all of her videos, I've been wanting to subscribe to glossybox for a while but I've never been a fan of spending approximately £13 (including postage & packaging) every month and not knowing what products I'd be getting from it. But, after, glossybox announced the new miss glossybox, I've finally subscribed! The miss glossybox is £9.95 in the UK (including postage & packaging) and is a bi-monthly subscription. (I'll include all links below)

I've finally received my first one so here are my initial thoughts! :)

Rather than the normal glossybox, miss glossybox comes in a little drawstring bag. Personally, I prefer this idea because, as it is aimed at younger people, it can be used to put makeup in on sleepovers and things. Plus, it's green. I like green. :D I think/hope they are going to change the colour of these each time because I really would like a bright pink one!!

beauty uk - line and define eye pencil rrp £1.99
This is a full size product which, if you are not familiar with glossybox, doesn't appear quite often! A girl cannot have enough black eyeliners (well, maybe you can if this is number 12 in your collection) so I'm pretty impressed with this. Usually, you just get given Lavender and Turquoise colours which the average girl is usually not brave enough to wear. I swatched this on my hand when I got it and it glides on really easily and if you smudge it straight away, you'll probably get a really good smokey eye effect going on :) But, I shall review it properly once I've worn it!

Spring clean cooling clay mask by amie skincare - rrp £4.95 per 75ml
"draws out deep-seated dirt and impurities whilst soaking up excess oil and helping prevent blemishes" I've been wanting a clay face mask go to for a while now because I've heard that they are good at helping to clear blemished skin. So before I buy one, I'll be able to see if they live up to my high expectations! I'd say there is enough in this sample for about 2 uses.

2true Glitterati nail polish shade 6 - rrp £1.99
Here, we have another full size product! (aren't we lucky!) and I have to say that I am rather in love with this already. It's limited edition so I recommend that if you like the sound of it, buy it now! It is a clear colour nail polish with a very slight pink tint and has rose gold coloured glitters in it. The glitter has large particles as well as the typical little ones so it's quite different to other glitter polishes I've tried. Personally, I think it looks better over bright pinks rather than light pinks (please comment below if you have tried it over any other colour polishes) so I wear it over a speeddry+ nail enamel by AVON in the shade Strawberry. The only bad thing about this that I've noticed so far is that if you don't wait for it to dry completely and you knock it, it takes off the layer of nail varnish underneath it too. But no other chips so far!!

So...? dry shampoo in va va volume and lovely - rrp £2.49 for 150ml
On the dry shampoo front I find it very difficult to find one that I think works well but doesn't make my hair look too dry and I found this in batiste dry shampoo and have never thought about trying another. So, when I got this, I was a bit iffy. Would it work? Would it smell nice? After using it once, it does seem to do the job. In a future blog I will have to compare it to my faithful batiste but I honestly think it's a winner. Also, one thing I've never found from a dry shampoo before is that is smells beautiful. It smells just like a So...? fragrance so as well as your hair looking fresh it also smells pretty fresh too!

Popband - rrp £4 - £8
When I saw this, I thought it was a really cute idea but then, when I saw the normal prices of it, I was genuinely shocked. The only differences between this and a regular piece of ribbon is the amount of stretch it has. I do really like it and it does put your hair up quite well and is easy to take out. But, if a friend or a vlog/blog was trying to persuade me to buy this, I highly doubt I would. They come in a range of colours. I received grey which I'm quite pleased with as it will go with pretty much all of my wardrobe but I'm not sure it will be worth it's rrp.

Eye rock eye tattoos
These weren't listed on the card that came with the box but after my own research I've found these to range from £3.99 to £10.99 depending on the designs. I'm not over the moon with this product at all. I love the idea but, honestly, I doubt I'll wear these for a long time. The only occasion I can think of considering using these would be as part of a fancy dress outfit. So, yeah, these will make their way to the back of the makeup drawer! The packet says they last up to 16 hours but I doubt they would ever need to be worn for that length of time but watch this space I guess

Stripy nail clippers and nail file
I can't find these exact ones anywhere on the internet but I'd say that it should cost around the £3 mark.
These look really pretty good quality and I really like the bright stripy colour because I'll be able to find them easily as I always seem to misplace my current silver pair!
I have a lot of nail files as it is so I'm neither happy nor disappointed with this. I'll probably keep it in my handbag in the little transparent case along with the clippers in case I need them when I'm on the go! Not much else to say on these really!

The final treat is this glossy box heart shaped lolly! Apparantly, these also came in the February glossybox and they are supposed to taste really nice! But, I think I'll be waiting till I feel better to try mine!

Overall, I'm very pleased with my first miss glossybox and I'm definitely going to keep on with my subscription! Maybe if all are as good as this, I will consider subscribing to the glossybox aimed at adults. I'll give this glossybox a 5/5 as it is my first one and we'll see if any can beat it!
