May favourites!!

Today I was planning on doing mini reviews on my top 10 books but then I realised I can't exactly do "May" favourites mid June so you shall all have to await my book pickings I'm afraid..

To those of you who know me well, you probably know I'm not the most clued up person when it comes to the beauty and fashion world.. Last year you would never see me leave the house without my JLS t-shirts or one of my JLS hoodies yes, I know they have split up *sits in the corner and weeps a little* but after watching YouTube channels such as Tanya Burr, Louise Glitter and Zoella, I'm developing my own little collection of favourites which I figured I'd share with you :)

So, in no particular order...

1) 2True Pro WOW Waterproof Mascara rrp £3.00

I've never been very adventurous on the mascara front, usually sticking to my faithful lash length natural collection mascara. But after a full day of school/college, I'd come home with no evidence of mascara at all which left me wondering just how long it had lasted.. So, 2 weeks ago I figured I'd be brave and look for a new mascara. I didn't really want to splash out on a £10 one yes I'm cheap, I know so I'd had my eye on this one for a while (no pun intended). But then on a little trip to Superdrug there was a 3 for 2 offer so I ended up getting this for free woo I'm even cheaper than you thought. But to say it was so cheap, it's actually pretty good. It lasts all day and makes your lashes stand out more than other ones I've tried. Much to my annoyance, my eyes are very sensitive to eye-shadows and mascaras so I have to be very careful in which ones I wear but this one has brought me no trouble at all. :) As I say, I'm not the most educated person so feel free to recommend me your favourites..

2) AVON Advance Techniques Root-boosting tonic rrp £4.50
Whether I choose to have my hair up or down, it always tends to lay flat I'd even go to the extent of saying it hangs like a dead sloth but maybe that's a bit graphic but the idea of back combing it and as a result losing about half of my hair has never really appealed to me.. I am an AVON representative so I know each of the brochures like the back of my hand and when I saw this on offer for £2.70 woo cheapskate yet again I figured it was worth the try. Admittedly, it isn't the most fantastic product in the whole entire world, like, it doesn't add instant volume. But, for what I need it for, it's almost perfect.. It stops my roots looking flat and just makes my hair feel more bouncy bouncy is a cool word.. especially when you say it slowly.. booouuuncccyyyyyyy

3) Owl hand cream from npw in yellow rrp £5.95

I recieve one of these cute little owls every year for Christmas! This yellow one is the lemon scent (my favourite is the blue lavender owl) and oh my god it is amazing. I have quite the collection of hand creams and this is the only one that leaves my hands feeling smooth for around 24 hours! Seriously, words cannot do it justice. Plus, the best part well my favourite thing about it is that you can just plop it yes "plop" it.. I suggest you make that sound with your mouth as you do so to get the full effect on your desk, dressing table or whatever and it just looks like a cute little ornament :) but then you open it and BAM hand cream. This is clearly the best thing since sheep independence day.

4) 2True Pro Tech Extreme Eyeliner rrp £4.50

In all honesty this was a complete impulse buy.. but I'm so glad I bought it. I bought this as part of the Superdrug 3 for 2 offer. All my eyeliners are all pencils which, as much as I love, they're not as easy to apply to your eyelids as they are to your water line. So I first applied this in the new look dressing rooms whilst deciding whether to buy a skirt or not and it just went on so easily. I was in quite a lot of shock to be honest haha. I still havent mastered the whole cat flick thing but watch this space ;)
for those of you who are interested, I did buy the skirt

5) Ted Baker Butterfly Wings Body Scrub 300ml rrp £6.50
Sorry for the chipped nails
This is the only body scrub I've owned which I've actually used... It's not that I've never liked body scrubs, I just genuinely had no idea what the point in them was and why on earth I'd ever need to consider using one as they just seemed to look really scratchy and horrible. This one has been sitting in my drawer since Christmas and I just got fed up of seeing it so rather than giving it away or throwing it out, I figured I'd give it a go. I honestly had no idea how smooth my legs would be afterwards.. Literally, in the most none creepy of ways, I just wanted to sit and stroke my legs for the rest of the day! To get the best results I'd recommend using the Ted Baker Body Souffle as well if any of you thought of Doctor Who and souffle girl then, I like you and then you can stroke your legs with pleasure for forever more!! I'm going to be quiet now before I start to sound like a Ted Baker advert..
