If you read my blog regularly, you will already know that I visited The Great Yorkshire Show 2016. If you haven't read my post on that and things I purchased there you should read those first by clicking here and here.
One of the stalls at The Great Yorkshire Show 2016 that we visited the most times was a stall full of Harry Potter themed gifts. Their website is www.wizwares.com so I would recommend you take a look at it. It is a family run business and you can really tell that a lot of effort is put into it.
One of my favourite pieces from the stall was the sorting hat that actually spoke.
Axel has wanted a wand for a long while (ever since he went to Universal in Florida and visited Hogsmeade). So, as soon as he saw this stall he was looking at the wands. I think he wanted Ron's wand the most (him being ginger and all that) but they didn't have Ron's wand. So, Axel's favourite was Voldemort's wand. Which I think was a better choice than Ron's wand anyway because Axel does a great Voldemort impression haha!
The wand is made from resin. They aren't the same as the official wands you can get from the Warner Bros Studio Tour but they are still such good quality, for £10 less. I believe Axel paid £15 for his.
The wand came in a box with a list of spells and a ticket for the night bus and a ticket to get on the Hogwarts Express. This was such a lovely touch.
I wanted to get my own wand but I already have two wands. I have Draco's and Hermione's. So, I couldn't justify buying yet another after buying the necklaces I'd bought at the show.
